mother's day

Hello friends  I'm Mrs Columbia and I'm new to being a wife, mother and trying to be a homesteader. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and we have accomplished.  Today is mother's day my friend came and got the kids and I. They gave me flowers and a candle for mothers day. My oldest childs birthday is Tuesday. My friends made him a cake and got him presents because they won't be able to make it to his birthday party. They have a pond on their property. Its a beautiful walk through the woods to get there. We took the boat out and went fishing. We didnt catch anything but we did see a snaping turtle. Then the boys found frogs.  When we got back from playing by the pond we went inside. The kids played with toys then watched a movie while we chatted. may day in the life

Hello friends  I'm Mrs Columbia, and I'm new to being a wife, mother, and trying to be a homesteader. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and we have accomplished.  This morning we woke up late around 7 30 and it was a warm and sunny i started a load of towels and had my coffee on the front porch the children played in the yard after having a bowl of cereal for breakfast.  When the laundry was finished, I hung ut out on the clothes line. I washed our bed sheets and opened all the windows. After shaking out the area rugs, I decided that I wanted to play in the garden. This fall, when the leaves fell, I didn't get a chance to rake them out of my garden, so I did that and pulled any weeds. I picked out some for the larger rocks and cheeked on the strawberry plants and the rhubarb plants they are looking amazing. When the beding was finished washing, I took the towels in and folded them, and hung the sheets out to dry. For lunch,...
