I'm Mrs Columbia and I'm new to being a divorced single mother and trying to be a homesteader. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and we have accomplished. It’s been a long time since I have made a post. I’m sorry about that. So in the past few months I have been fighting in court for custody. Other than that I’m still working in a bakery but now I’m going to school to be a life insurance agent. That’s going well I’m getting good grades and learning a lot. My 5 year old started kindergarten and is loving it. My two year old is being watched while I’m at work by one of my friends. I’m trying to get into a daycare but they are so expensive. We are living in an apartment. I’m trying to sell my truck and get something a little less expensive to drive. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and we have accomplished.  This morning after breakfast the kids and I went outside to play They have a sand pile. We played with trucks and shovels. They enjoy filling their trucks with sand and bringing it to different spots in the sand pile. After that, we went down to the pond that's on the property where we are staying. They have a little boat the kids and I went out fishing We didn't catch fish very often when we went fishing. After we came back and my friend watched them while I went to work. At the moment I'm working at a bakery. Today I made chocolate chip muffins, double chocolate muffins, blueberry muffins, and cinnamon chip muffins. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and we have accomplished.  Getting a divorce with children is hard I was a stay-at-home mother of 2 children for 5 years and I just started working a few months ago and I'm trying to afford an apartment. If I could get some income from these blog posts that would help me start up my cleaning company.  It has been very challenging for me lately working and trying to afford everything my kids have been used to. I feel like I'm failing as a mother as I don't see my children as often as I used to and when I do see them I'm tired from work and stressed about money and that's not fair for them. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and what we have accomplished.  My husband and I are separated he moved out a few months ago we tried to fix our problems but some things can't be fixed. I lived at his mother's house with the children for a few months. After he moved out things started getting uncomfortable and stressful living with her. It just wasn't working and I moved out with the children into my friend's house. They are letting us rent upstairs I have been here for two months now and the children are enjoying it.  We are getting a divorce it's what's best for us and the children. Hello friends  I'm Mrs Columbia and I'm new to being a wife, mother, and trying to be a homesteader. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and what we have accomplished.  I woke up this morning and wanted to see If I could fit a bunk bed in the bedroom. I don't like using a tape measure I like using my arms and counting how many arm lengths it is. But I used one and thought this should fix let's move the stuff around and then make sure it fits before buying one. The kids sleep in the same room with us in toddler beds. The way it looks before moving stuff we have a door on one wall and then the king bed on the left wall there's a window at the end of the king bed. The toddler beds on the back wall there's another window next to the toddler beds there's a dresser with the kid's clothing in it. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and we have accomplished.  Today is mother's day my friend came and got the kids and I. They gave me flowers and a candle for mothers day. My oldest childs birthday is Tuesday. My friends made him a cake and got him presents because they won't be able to make it to his birthday party. They have a pond on their property. Its a beautiful walk through the woods to get there. We took the boat out and went fishing. We didnt catch anything but we did see a snaping turtle. Then the boys found frogs.  When we got back from playing by the pond we went inside. The kids played with toys then watched a movie while we chatted.
