getting a divorce with kids

Hello friends, 

I'm Mrs Columbia and I'm new to being a divorced single mother, and trying to be a homesteader. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and we have accomplished. 

Getting a divorce with children is hard I was a stay-at-home mother of 2 children for 5 years and I just started working a few months ago and I'm trying to afford an apartment. If I could get some income from these blog posts that would help me start up my cleaning company. 

It has been very challenging for me lately working and trying to afford everything my kids have been used to. I feel like I'm failing as a mother as I don't see my children as often as I used to and when I do see them I'm tired from work and stressed about money and that's not fair for them. I would like to be able to be with them more I just don't know how to make that happen and still financially take care of them. 

If I were able to make extra income from this blog I could start building the supply I would need to start up a cleaning company. If I could start over that I would be able to make more money and spend less time away. I'm not afraid of hard work I just need that work to earn me enough money not to be stressed out. I need to buy a vehicle and get an apartment. Those cost a lot of money. 

For my cleaning company as a start, I would like to get maybe 6 clients that I clean for every week, or 12 clients that I clean every other week. I have never worked as a cleaner before but have cleaned after 2 kids and a husband for 5 years so I do know how to keep a house clean and know what needs cleaning and how to get it done. 

I thought about working for a cleaning company but that would be the same pay I'm getting now but for more labor-intensive work. I would like to own my own because I could work 4 maybe 5 hours a day and spend that other time with my children.  

More next week, I will be trying to post every Sunday morning.

may day in the life

Hello friends  I'm Mrs Columbia, and I'm new to being a wife, mother, and trying to be a homesteader. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and we have accomplished.  This morning we woke up late around 7 30 and it was a warm and sunny i started a load of towels and had my coffee on the front porch the children played in the yard after having a bowl of cereal for breakfast.  When the laundry was finished, I hung ut out on the clothes line. I washed our bed sheets and opened all the windows. After shaking out the area rugs, I decided that I wanted to play in the garden. This fall, when the leaves fell, I didn't get a chance to rake them out of my garden, so I did that and pulled any weeds. I picked out some for the larger rocks and cheeked on the strawberry plants and the rhubarb plants they are looking amazing.
