reorganizing the master bedroom

Hello friends 

I'm Mrs Columbia and I'm new to being a wife, mother, and trying to be a homesteader. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and what we have accomplished. 

I woke up this morning and wanted to see If I could fit a bunk bed in the bedroom. I don't like using a tape measure I like using my arms and counting how many arm lengths it is. But I used one and thought this should fix let's move the stuff around and then make sure it fits before buying one. The kids sleep in the same room with us in toddler beds.

The way it looks before moving stuff we have a door on one wall and then the king bed on the left wall there's a window at the end of the king bed. The toddler beds on the back wall there's another window next to the toddler beds there's a dresser with the kid's clothing in it. Next to that dresser, there's my dresser and next to my dresser is a shelf with drawers. 

On the right wall there's a door to the closet then my husband's dresser. I started moving stuff I picked up the king bed and leaned it up against the wall then I pulled the kid's bed out into the living room. I moved the kid's dresser into the walk-in closet and pushed my dresser down. After I moved them I brought the kid's bed back in and laid the king bed back down.

I thought I could put my bed where the kid's beds were but I didn't measure the feet of the dresser only the top part so most things stayed where they were. Now when we walk in it's king bed on the front wall and part of the left wall then the kid's soon-to-be bunk bed on the end of our bed and part of the back wall then my dresser then shelf with drawers. My husband's dresser stayed where it was. 

I didn't move much in the walk-in closet I took out the clothing hanging rack and put up a pole against the wall and that gave me enough space for the kid's dresser. While I was moving the furniture I cleaned underneath and the amount of dog hair I couldn't get just sweeping under them made me realize I should pull them out more often it was kinda gross then I washed the floor and wiped everything down.

getting a divorce with kids

Hello friends,  I'm Mrs Columbia and I'm new to being a divorced single mother, and trying to be a homesteader. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and we have accomplished.  Getting a divorce with children is hard I was a stay-at-home mother of 2 children for 5 years and I just started working a few months ago and I'm trying to afford an apartment. If I could get some income from these blog posts that would help me start up my cleaning company.  It has been very challenging for me lately working and trying to afford everything my kids have been used to. I feel like I'm failing as a mother as I don't see my children as often as I used to and when I do see them I'm tired from work and stressed about money and that's not fair for them. may day in the life

Hello friends  I'm Mrs Columbia, and I'm new to being a wife, mother, and trying to be a homesteader. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and we have accomplished.  This morning we woke up late around 7 30 and it was a warm and sunny i started a load of towels and had my coffee on the front porch the children played in the yard after having a bowl of cereal for breakfast.  When the laundry was finished, I hung ut out on the clothes line. I washed our bed sheets and opened all the windows. After shaking out the area rugs, I decided that I wanted to play in the garden. This fall, when the leaves fell, I didn't get a chance to rake them out of my garden, so I did that and pulled any weeds. I picked out some for the larger rocks and cheeked on the strawberry plants and the rhubarb plants they are looking amazing.
