day in the life of a newly single mother

Hello friends 

I'm Mrs Columbia and I'm new to being a divorced single mother and trying to be a homesteader. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and we have accomplished. 

This morning after breakfast the kids and I went outside to play They have a sand pile. We played with trucks and shovels. They enjoy filling their trucks with sand and bringing it to different spots in the sand pile. After that, we went down to the pond that's on the property where we are staying. They have a little boat the kids and I went out fishing We didn't catch fish very often when we went fishing.

After we came back and my friend watched them while I went to work. At the moment I'm working at a bakery. Today I made chocolate chip muffins, double chocolate muffins, blueberry muffins, and cinnamon chip muffins. After I baked some chocolate chip cookies, Reese cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies and coconut pecan cookies. 

While those were cooling I baked bread and rolls. Then I packaged up the cookies and filled some of the muffins with frosting. Then I packaged the bread and brought it out on the floor to display. Then I organizing the display cases. After I washed the dishes that I had accumulated form baking. 

To end my day i got the computer set up to take the order for things that we ran out of and are running low on and that takes almost a hour. I have to check dates and see how much is left in each box. After that I wash the counter and sweep and mop the floors.

That ends my work day and I get ready to go home I don't have a vehicle so my friend and children came to pick me up and we went home. I made the kids supper we had spaghetti and meet balls with garlic bread that I made at work and bought before leaving. After eating I gave them showers and got them into there pj's before snuggling them and puting them to bed for the night. 

 

After they are sleep I shower and get ready for bed my youngest child doesn't sleep through the night so as soon as I'm able I try and fall asleep but with the stress of my life changing lately I haven't been able to fall asleep very well and usually am still awake when he wakes up for the first time so I go in and rub his back till he falls back asleep then if I haven't fallen asleep there I get back in bed and am out until he wakes up again. That's what a day has been looking like for us lately.
