Easter 2025
Hello friends
I'm Mrs Columbia, and I'm new to being a wife, mother, and trying to be a homesteader. I want to share my story so I can look back over the years at all that's changed and we have accomplished.
Easter preparation a few days before I bought candy toys Easter eggs and paper grass for the Easter baskets. I got a ham eggs carrots potatoes, stuffing, and a can of cranberry sauce.
The night before, I filled the eggs with candy and hide, them all around the house. I like to put some in the kids' beds so they wake up, and it's the first thing they see. I made their Easter basket by putting paper grass, then candy and the toys in them, and put those on the table.
This morning is Easter. The kids wake up to plastic eggs in their beds, and they are very excited. They came out into the living room and saw the egg collecting baskets and started finding the eggs.
After they found all the easy eggs, they saw the baskets with toys on the table and wanted to open those and eat some candy. While they were playing with those I made breakfast with, it was waffles and eggs.
They kept finding the eggs as I made coffee, and I sat and watched them looking around till about 10 a.m. Mind you, they started at about 6 a.m. At 10 a.m., I put the ham in the oven and started cooking.
I made deviled eggs, stuffing mashed potatoes, brown sugar glazed carrots, biscuits, and a chocolate pie with homemade wiped cream. For snacks in between breakfast and Easter dinner, they have celery with peanut butter, crackers and cheese, and then they probably had more candy than they should have.
More next week, I will be trying to post every Sunday morning. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
